Exhibiting at the Harrogate Homebuilding Show

We had an excellent few days exhibiting at the Homebuilding and Renovating Show in Harrogate last week.

It was wonderful to welcome so many visitors to our stand who were eager to learn more about our bespoke Solarlux Wintergardens. As an exhibitor and sponsor of Hall C, we were delighted to be back at the Harrogate Convention Centre for the second year running and experience such a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. We work with homeowners, architects and builders to create stunning glazing for all types of homes across Yorkshire, so this was a fantastic environment in which to showcase Solarlux's premium glass systems.

We were really impressed with the way the show was laid out and managed, and there was a fantastic number of visitors at around 10,000. It was clear that there is still a huge demand for high-quality glazing from homeowners looking to build or renovate their property. It was a pleasure to be able to discuss our Solarlux glass extensions with people wanting the very best for their homes, and visitors to our stand were clearly impressed with what we have to offer.

Harrogate Homebuilding Show

Our flagship Solarlux Wintergarden glass extensions were of huge interest to people at the Harrogate show looking for a more modern and thermally efficient alternative to a conservatory. It was great to be able to discuss everything in detail and to illustrate it with a 3D model of our Wintergarden display, which people can visit and look around at our premises in Leeds.

Although everyone had different requirements and visions for their glass extensions, many of the questions people asked were similar. In general, visitors wanted to know about the difference between a Solarlux Wintergarden and a conservatory, and how we guarantee our glass extensions won’t get too hot in summer and too cold in winter. The answer to this lies in the Wintergarden’s excellent thermal properties and climate control. This was an important plus point for people wanting to use their glass extension all year round. Our team were able to explain in more detail about the quality of design and engineering that ensures Solarlux Wintergardens offer excellent insulation and are able to function just like any other room in the home. Add to that the high-tech weather system and the range of lighting, shading, ventilation and heating options that are available, and you can be sure of achieving the perfect temperature inside your Wintergarden, whatever the weather outside.

Visitors were also impressed with the speed of a Wintergarden installation. Unlike a bricks and mortar extension, this glass structure can be up and ready within a matter of weeks.

Other questions about our Wintergardens focused on the design and, in particular, whether a double height glass extension is possible. The short answer is yes!
