Combiline FAQs

While we don't have a Combiline at our Leeds showroom, we do have one (pictured) at our factory just around the corner, which you are welcome to view.

You might also like to visit our showroom as well, and take a look at two other types of Solarlux glass doors that will give you an idea of how a Combiline looks and operates in situ, as well as the quality of the materials and engineering.

The two doors are:

• The all-aluminium Highline, a three-pane, outwards-opening bi-fold door with heat insulated glass in colour DB703 Fine Structure. You can also view a two-pane Highline fixed window to match.
• The composite (wood and aluminium) SL179, a lift-and-slide sliding door with multi laminated wood profiles and back-ventilated aluminium cladding on the exterior. Its outside aluminium colour is DB703 Fine Structure and inside wood is laminated spruce.

Not quite, but it's pretty close if you are looking for composite doors with outstanding thermal efficiency.

With a U value of 1.1 W/m2K, the Combiline is not just the only aluminium / wood bi-folding door on the market but it also rivals all other kinds of bi-folding door for its insulating properties.

U values show the efficiency of a door or window regarding the prevention of heat transfer between the inside and outside. The lower the U value, the more successful it is.

• The bionicTURTLE®, pictured here, a multi-functional break profile housing the locking mechanism and fittings that create the outstanding insulation properties of the bi-fold door range. As standard, we also use special fixing brackets which spread the weight of the fixing onto the frame across the thermal break.
